Before You Start

Step 1: Add Your Domain in Squarespace

Log into your OVHcloud account and go to 'Web Cloud', then 'Domains'. Find your domain and click on 'DNS zone'. This is where you'll add the records Squarespace gives you.

Step 3: Add the Verification CNAME Record

In Squarespace's DNS settings, you'll see a unique code under the 'Host' column that needs to point to verify.squarespace.com. Copy this code and add it as a CNAME record in OVHcloud:
  • Host: The unique code from Squarespace
  • Target: verify.squarespace.com.
Make sure you add the dot (.) at the end of the target URL.

Step 4: Add the WWW CNAME Record

Add another CNAME record:
  • Host: www
  • Target: ext-cust.squarespace.com.
Again, don't forget the dot at the end.

Step 5: Add the A Records

Squarespace will give you four IP addresses. Add each one as an A record in OVHcloud without any subdomain (leave the host field blank or use @). Keep the TTL settings as default.

Wait for It to Connect

Once you've added all the DNS records, your domain should connect within 24-48 hours. You can check progress in Squarespace's DNS settings - you'll see a green label when it's working.
